September 19th I walked into my doctor’s office for a follow up appointment (for weight management because I gained 15 lbs in 2 months and had problems dropping that weight for almost a year). During my weigh in, I realized I gained 6 more lbs…. my doctor told me why we had to catch this problem now….. “Garey, with your family medical history (heart issues, cancer, diabetes ) and this weight didn’t happen because of life event (marriage, children, big move, etc.) I’m concerned you’re on a bad path that’s getting worst…” I took that to heart…..and we set a challenge that day to get my weight down to 210 by December 16th (overall goal is down to 200)
SOOOO for the last month I’ve:
*shaved my diary and bread intake to. almost zero *increased my veggies *Lowered my portion size
*(still working on water intake but its better lol. )
Today I am 211 after a month. It took dedication and most of all restraint from sweets and excessive eating. I had to be strategic and do meal preps…. and losing weight while gaining muscle is tough….. but it is possible and I’m loving it!
Help keep me encouraged as I try to meet my goal of 200 by December. Not to just lose weight, but also gain muscle and adapt a different lifestyle…. Anybody that wants to come at 5:30am on Tues/Thurs to @tftfit lemme know. I support local businesses.
