To Be Great Don’t Imitate

We live in a culture where everyone wants results right away. Some see the success that others have achieved and feel that they can reach that same level of success in a matter of minutes. They feel they can do this by copying successful individuals. Not realizing that the successful ones worked long and hard for years to get where they are at.

Imitation takes no skill or thought at all. The thing that people who imitate fail to understand is that they will never succeed in reaching the level of the ones they copied. It has very little to do with the person they are copying being the original. It has all to do with that they haven’t taken the time to go through and understand the process. Their moves and patterns are thoughtless. It’s like watching a boxer and mimicking their movements in your own match not knowing why they are moved in such a manner. You will get knocked out.

The best thing to do is to find your own way. Do your own thing and make your own mistakes and learn from them. That’s the act of being original in my. Copying takes no skill and yields very little education and even smaller chances of success.

I have a passion for helping people. I believe that is when humanity is at it's best. We go against what's natural when we function in a selfish manner. Helping others should be instinctive to us and should be a part of a leaders responsibilities. Michael Nicholson - Hip Hop Fitness
