What is your “It”?

We live in a day and age where people like to use buzzwords and buzzphrases. We say things like: “Let’s get it!” “I’m doing it big!” “I’m doing big things” etc. I find that these popular phrases and others are very limiting. They give us the easy out of identifying what it is EXACTLY THAT WE ARE GOING TO DO. What is this ever elusive “it” what exactly are these “THINGS”.

Instead of saying “I’m doing big things!” Try saying something like “I’m doing big business.” “I’m going to increase productivity.” “I’m going to get in shape today” “I’m going to run 10 miles today” “I’m going to learn origami” etc.
Learn to specify and speak what it is that you are going to do into existence. I challenge you to replace the ambiguous phrases and words with things that are definite. Do this for a month and see how your disposition changes.

I have a passion for helping people. I believe that is when humanity is at it's best. We go against what's natural when we function in a selfish manner. Helping others should be instinctive to us and should be a part of a leaders responsibilities. Michael Nicholson - Hip Hop Fitness
