I was asked about the scars of my elbows. Well that happened during my first intro to Ohio. I came here originally from Brooklyn New York to attend college. I arrived early to get the lay of the land and to work during the summer so that I would have spending money for books and extracurricular activities.
I lived and worked in Dublin at this time at the Taco Bell on Billingsley Rd. I had a bicycle that I rode from the apartment which was located on Hard Rd to work. I worked on average 14 hours a day 7 days a week. Well this one night as I was riding my bike to work. This red pick up truck with KKK painted on it and with 4 guys in it pulled up next to me and started shouting obscenities and throwing stuff and at me. I was approximately half a mile away work. I could see the Taco Bell coming up on the left. I began to peddle faster. At that moment. The truck slammed into knocking me into 3 mailboxes and then I hit the ground and slid on for about 75 feet.
I blacked out for approximately 2 minutes. When I awoke. I picked up my bike and tried to ride it the rest of the way to work. It was broken. So I walked carrying it the rest of the way. I get to work bleeding + bruised etc. dripping blood. I told the manager I am sorry I’m late and told him what happened. I wrapped my elbows up in paper towels and I told them I couldn’t be around the food but I can clean the restaurant and the bathrooms. Everyone looked at me like 😳😳😳. The manager called the ambulance 😂. #SoWhenFolkTryAndStopMeTheyJustDontKnowWhyTheyCant #IamTheSumOfMyLifesExperiences
