If you want to achieve something, the best thing to do is to just do it. I'm sure you have heard people talk about the things that they want to do. They share their dreams and alleged passions with you. They make it sound so great. So much so that you wonder why they haven't brought this vision of theirs to fruition. Perhaps you might have been or currently be this person. Well I have a question for you. What the heck is stopping you?
Typically when you ask the question of what's stopping people from achieving their dreams. It's due to that four letter word of fear. This doesn't make you any less of a person for fearing the pursuit of your passion. You want me to let you in on a little secret? The people who actually pursue and live their dreams and passions had that fear. As a matter of fact we still have that fear everyday we are pursuing our passion. It's natural to fear the unknown. The thing you have to learn is that you can conquer that fear. You don't have to let it control you.
When I started M. Nicholson Hip Hop Fitness 9 years ago I had no idea where I would be later on in life. I didn't even know if it was going to work out. I thought it was going to be a part time job or hobby that lasted for 2 years tops. I was worried about whether or not I would be able to make a living. I was concerned that my family and I would be homeless. Starting a hip hop fitness business had to be the craziest thing that I could've thought of. I didn't let the fear of the unknown deter me from going after ambitions. If fact I used that fear to propel me forward. In my mind I had to make it work. I literally had to go all in or nothing. That was 9 years ago and it's safe to say that things kind of worked out.
I have failed more times than I've succeeded and with each failure I gained more knowledge.
Remember that fear is okay. It's a natural thing. You also have to come to grips with failure being inevitable. That's typically what most of fear. The fear of things not working out the way that we planned for them to. Let me repeat this for you. YOU ARE GOING TO FAIL! You feel better now knowing that? Probably not😂. Just know that failure doesn't mean the end. It means that it didn't work out this time and that you learned some lessons. Failure means lack of success. It doesn't mean death. I have failed more times than I've succeeded and with each failure I gained more knowledge. I then applied that knowledge to become successful. You can bounce back from failure. Death on the other hand… well only if your name is Lazarus.
