What is creativity? Well it is when one uses their imagination to become inventive and conjure up new ideas, methods etc. Creativity isn’t something that is easy. Thus this is the very reason most people don’t harness its power and benefits. See, creativity requires one to transcend present ideals. That takes a lot of work. So what people tend to do is take the short cut and steal what others have created. This might provide some means of instant gratification but in the long run it will yield apathy.
The thing that is missing when you steal something from somewhere else, is the process. The process is where you truly learn about what it is that you are doing and who you are while doing it. Without the going the actual process of coming up with the idea yourself, you will lack a strong connection to it. When you are letting your creative juices flow, you gain an appreciation of what you are letting them flow into. It is important that when you are looking to start an entrepreneurial endeavor that you go through the growing pains of it and part of it starts with the creative process. It’s like having a child. The by-product of your creativity is pretty much your baby. Passion is definitely key.
You should be enthusiastic about what it is that your invention. The reason passion is essential in the creative process is because that’s sometimes the only thing that you have to fuel your desire to continue. There will most certainly be times where you will want to give in. When things won’t go your way and you will feel as though you should throw in the towel. The genuine love of what you have imagined will get you through those hard times.
Another thing about creativity is that it allows you to tell your story. When you steal from somewhere or someone else. You are pretty much expanding their legacy. Why do that when you can start your own? Just doing something because it seems or seemed to work out for someone else will leave void in your soul. Think about it like this. No one really talks about the copy. They focus on the original.
