Are you doing something to copy someone? Because someone told you you have to do it? To get back at them for something? To prove a point? Why or who are you doing the things you are doing for?
“Life is queer with its twists turns.” This is a passage from the poem “Poem Don’t Quit”. This part talks about how you never know what life can throw at you. You could possibly find yourself in a crisis or in a situation that is so overwhelming that you do not know how you are going to overcome it. Maybe you have experienced such circumstances and all of a sudden experienced this rush of determination, energy and valor that allowed you to become laser focused. The haze disappeared and your goal was clear. You tapped into your potential to meet the objective. At this moment of clarity you experienced the moment of your Why.
What is your why? This is one of the very first things you should seek out in your life. Reason being is that if you don’t, you won’t know what you are about, what you are to do or why you do the things that you do. You’ll get caught in the complacency trap. You’ll end up imitating someone else’s journey and burn out sooner than later. If you don’t know what you stand for, you’ll fall for anything. This is very dangerous. Once you have done some introspective investigation figured out your why. It takes on the title of purpose.
Purpose is what drives us almost every minute of the day. Once you have realized your purpose. You began to tap into your potential via passion. When you become passionate about your purpose. You operate differently. You began to look at everything with a different lens. Things that you once perceived as impossible circumstances, now become obstacles that you plan to go around, over, under or just obliterate them and go through.
So find YOUR purpose and not someone else’s. When you find yours. Your passion will get you through the tough times.
