I love people. Humanity is the most important thing to me. Seeing everyone live lives that are satisfactory to them is a joy for me to see. I relish in the victories of others. When I read the newspaper or watch the news networks, I am bombarded with a plethora of melancholy information; I don’t like it. I find myself sitting up late at night trying to find solutions to the down trotted problems as if I don’t have issues of my own to be concerned about.
Worrying about other’s problems despite my own has been challenging and full of learning lessons. You would probably think that having an extreme level of empathy couldn’t be bad at all, right?
I’ve gone out of my way to put other’s needs ahead of my own.
Well, having empathy on that level tends to leave you open to more harm than good. I’ve gone out of my way to put other’s needs ahead of my own. Taking care of others before you take care of yourself tends to leave susceptible to intellectual and emotional pain.
Take care of yourself before you take care of others. If you don’t take care of yourself, how are you going to expect to be around and healthy enough to take care of everyone else.
